Xiaomi Redmi 6,6 Pro, and Redmi 6A- September 5 Launch

"Chinese Apple" Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi 6-series smartphone in India on September 5. The series includes entry-level Redmi 6A, budget-centric Redmi 6 and a premium budget offering the Redmi 6 Pro.
Launched earlier this year in China, the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 sport 18:9 aspect ratio screen. However, the Redmi 6 Pro would be the company’s first budget smartphone with a notch-based screen.
According to Xiaomi India, the new Redmi 6 Series of smartphones are launching in India soon. The company has already started to send invites to the event.
 Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi Global VP and Xiaomi India Managing Director, on Thursday shared a tweet that hinted at the imminent launch of these smartphones.
 To recall, all three smartphones in the Redmi 6-Series were launched in June in China, with the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A launched by Xiaomi side-by-side, and the Redmi 6 Pro being unveiled a couple of weeks later.

 As for pricing, the Redmi 6 price in China is set at CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,400) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage variant, and CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
On the other hand, the Redmi 6A price is set at CNY 599 (roughly Rs. 6,300) for the lone 2GB RAM/ 16GB inbuilt storage variant. And finally, the Redmi 6 Pro price is set at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,400) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,500) for the 4GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, and CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 13,600) for the 4GB, 64GB variant.


Redmi 6 Pro is slightly more powerful than the standard version, and also comes with better hardware. It gets a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display, a Snapdragon 625 processor, up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It also comes with a microSD slot, a dual-rear camera setup (12MP+5MP) and a 4000mAh battery. It will run Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 on top.

Redmi 6, which is a budget smartphone that comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio, and uses an aluminium body. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, which is coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
 The phone gets a dual-camera setup at the back, with a 12MP +5MP sensor for capturing depth information. At the front, there’s a 5MP unit for selfies. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery, has a microSD card slot, and comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Redmi 6A, on the other hand, sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440×720) 18:9 display. It is powered by Helio A22 processor fabricated on 12nm FinFET technology. The Redmi 6A features a 13MP rear Camera. Up front, it has a 5MP Selfie camera . It has 2GB RAM and 16GB and,3GB,32GB  storage.The phone boots Google Android-based MIUI 9 operating system.
