Maruti Suzuki Ciaz - 2018 Facelift Leaked Features,

Maruti Suzuki has, at last, finalised the launch date of the 2018 Ciaz facelift. The sedan will be launched on 20 August 2018 with some visual changes, a new petrol engine and new features too.

The leaked document has also revealed that the Ciaz facelift will be offered with near-identical colour options. Numbering seven, the exterior finishes include blue, black, brown, red, white, grey and silver. The latter two colours will be slightly different shades that were available on the outgoing model.

The outgoing Ciaz gets dual airbags, ISOFIX mounts and ABS with EBD as standard. The 2018 model will get the added support of ESP (electronic stability program), traction control and hill start assist as standard.

New standard features: Speed Alert System (SAS) and Seatbelt Reminder (SBR)
The SBR will warn the front occupants (both the driver and front passenger) to fasten the seatbelts (if they haven’t already) via a reminder and a buzzer above 15kmph.

The SAS will warn the driver if the car exceeds 80kmph. Between 80kmph to 120kmph, the SAS will sound two beeps every minute as a warning signal. If the 2018 Ciaz is driven above 120kmph, there will be continuous beeps to warn the driver.

Besides the new petrol engine and mild-hybrid tech, the Ciaz facelift gets exterior tweaks such as LED headlamps and tail-lamps (on higher-spec trims), a slightly different front bumper and a new grille shape with a chrome garnish on higher-spec variants.

There are also new-design alloy wheels on offer, though the wheel size is expected to be the same – 15-inchers on the lower-spec trims and 16-inchers on the top-spec model.

The insides of the new Ciaz is more or less the same as the pre-facelift model, though there is a new faux-wood trim on the dashboard and a new colour display instrument cluster of offer, along with features such as adjustable rear head rests and cruise control.
The Suzuki Connect app, which is offered on all Nexa cars, will come as standard.

The Ciaz is one of the best-selling models in its segment, eclipsing sales figures of rivals such as the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Toyota Yaris.

Bookings for the Ciaz facelift have already begun at Nexa dealerships for an amount of Rs 11,000. Maruti Suzuki has also updated the Nexa website teasing the new model.
