Maruti Suzuki Ignis Will launch In India Coming Jan. 2017

Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch the highly anticipated Ignis in the Indian market. And it will be launched around mid-January (probably January 13 or 15).
It will mainly compete with the Mahindra KUV100 and is expected to be priced around Rs 5 lakh. Here's what you can expect from the upcoming Ignis.

Ignis will be sold through Nexa dealerships, and will in this way impart showroom space to the Baleno and the S-Cross.
Ignis will offer five-speed automated manual transmission with both of its Baleno-borrowed engine options .Powering the Maruti Ignis is the familiar 1.2 litre K-series petrol which is capable of producing 84.3 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque.
The diesel variant is expected to use the 1.3 litre DDiS mill doing duty in most Maruti cars in India, producing 75 PS of maximum power and 190 Nm of peak torque.

The inside is a crisp take for a Maruti/Suzuki,  featuring a new steering wheel, infotainment system (with a floating screen) and new switchgear.  SmartPlay system which has support for both Android Auto and Apple Car Play and LED daytime running lamps are features expected to be present in higher variants.

The Ignis will be the entry level car selling from Maruti’s Nexa range of dealerships and will come with similar variant names as the Baleno and the S Cross. The petrol variants will be Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha; diesel will skip Sigma and will have Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It will have nearly six colour options and, perhaps considering the popularity of the dual-tone variants of the Vitara Brezza, Maruti will offer the same with the Ignis as well.
The dual-tone options in the Ignis will be offered with the range-topping trims and will include blue-white or red-black options. Moreover, the Ignis will also feature iCreate customisation packages similar to the Vitara Brezza.
