Whats App- Coming to Desktops

Facebook Owned messaging app WhatsApp is coming to desktops. The company has announced that its apps are now available on PCs running on Windows 8 and above and for Mac OS 10.9 and above.

Whatsapp had already launched a web-based service in January 2015, but now it's made dedicated desktop software available.The desktop app comes 16 months after WhatsApp made its messaging service available on the web.
To download the app, visit https://www.whatsapp.com/download from your desktop browser. Then, open the app and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp app on your phone.
WhatsApp mentioned in their  blog, “Today we're introducing a desktop app so you have a new way to stay in touch anytime and anywhere - whether on your phone or computer at home or work. Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: The app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device”.

WhatsApp was recently in news for being banned in Brazil after the company failed to provide support in an ongoing investigation. The ban, scheduled for 3 days, was revoked within a few hours.
