Cristiano Ronaldo voted Champions League No. 1 Player

Real Madrid  Super star Cristiano Ronaldo has dominated the voting for Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport's "Champions League Number One" award.

Despite not featuring in the semi-final first leg against Manchester City through injury on Tuesday, Ronaldo has excelled in the competition all season, netting 16 goals.That's just one behind his own record set in 2013/14, when he inspired Los Blancos to La Decima.The Portuguese star won over 20% of the votes in the poll to find the best eleven players from this season's competition in the opinion of both Gazzetta  journalists and readers on a matchday basis.
He was comfortably ahead of Atletico Madrid's hero from Wednesday night, Saul Niguez.Ronaldo's teammates Pepe and Keylor Navas also made the list, along with Atleti stars Augusto Fernandez and Antoine Griezmann.Bayern Munich are represented by Arturo Vidal, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman, while Joe Hart is Manchester City's only player.
